There are quite a few places you can stay while on vacation in England, but there’s nothing like staying in a beautiful manor hotel. We’ve listed three of the best in the country for you to choose from right here:

Cedar Manor Hotel & Restaurant

This is a 160-year-old manor which is both historic as well as intimate. It is located in the Lake District, and has an ancient tree as well as some beautiful gardens. The design of the fireplace bar and restaurant is stylish and chic. There are just 10 rooms here including a terrific coach house. They are modern and come with some thoughtful touches like mini-fridges with chilled milk and welcome notes. The restaurant offers some really tasty food, although the classic rooms may just be a little too small.

Wordsworth Hotel

This is a 39-room, upscale hotel housed in a terrific 19th-century hunting lodge, in the heart of the Lake District. It is quaint and its unique location makes it a destination all by itself. This truly is a great place if you’re the type who would love to explore picturesque surroundings. The on-site dining is worth noting too. The spa facilities are quite amazing too. They also have an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub.

Apsley House Hotel

This is an exquisite bed & breakfast which is located outside downtown Bath in a rural setting. It used to be home to the Duke of Wellington, and has some ornate details from tiny antique figurines to grand pianos. The rooms all have individual flavours of their own, and your experience will depend on which of the 12 rooms you get. But, all of them are clean, romantic and cozy with antique mirrors and combs, as well as marble bathrooms. Don’t worry, there are some modern amenities too, like free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.
